IMS Grad Perez Contining Volleyball Career in Kansas

Iowa Mennonite School graduate Casey Perez is continuing her athletic and academic career at Hesston College in Kansas. Perez, a sophomore setter and former All Southeast Iowa Superconference performer, Perez has seen action already this season for the Larks volleyball squad. Hesston College opened their season at home with a triangular event against Friends University and Kansas Wesleyan University on August 22nd. The Larks rolled through the evening winning both matches in straight sets. Hesston downed Friends University 25-14, 25-19 and 25-19 and followed that by beating Kansas Wesleyan 25-15, 25-19 and 25-12. Perez had a great night on the court posting 42 assists, 15 digs and two kills combined between the two matches.

On Wednesday the Larks suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Longview Community College in four games. 19-25, 23-25, 25-21 and 24-26. The Larks will next be in action Wednesday against Kansas City Kansas Community College
