Construction continues at three Mid-Prairie schools as the first day of class arrives. Work on the additions to the elementary schools in Kalona and Wellman and Home School Assistance Program wing at the middle school are on schedule for the most part. According to Superintendent Mark Schneider, they’re expecting a November or December finish for the projects. Another project the district started this year was the installation of a geothermal system at the middle school. Schneider says the system is up and running.
