For Mid-Prairie football coach Pete Cavanagh it’s been a busy few weeks. Although he has been busy, he is pleased with what he has seen so far.

The Golden Hawk coach says he has been very impressed by the leadership he is seeing from his seniors thus far. He is also happy with the progress among the players notiving continuous improvement as practice moves along and the season opener gets closer.

Mid-Prairie is coming off a 4-6 season, although three of those losses were by a total of just four points. The Golden Hawks will have an opportunity to avenge one of those close losses in their season opener when they travel to Durant to battle the Wildcats. Mid-Prairie lost to Durant 7-6 last season.

You can hear the entire interview with Cavanagh on the JET Physical Therapy Radio Coaches Corner tomorrow morning beginning at 9 a.m. on KCII.
