Mid-Prairie softball player Amber Krall has made a verbal commitment to play softball at Minnesota State University in Mankato, an NCAA division II school.

Krall led the team in several offensive categories this past season as a junior. Krall led the team with 12 home runs and 71 RBIs, while batting .455 with an .891 slugging percentage. The RBI total tied the Mid-Prairie junior for third among all schools in the state of Iowa. She also contributed defensively, with a .943 fielding percentage while playing both third and first base during this past season. Krall says she is planning to concentrate on just playing softball during her senior year at Mid-Prairie.

Minnesota State University has a good softball program under coach Lori Meyer as the Mavericks finished 38-23 overall and 20-10 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
