Scott Mills will begin his 10-day running trek across Iowa tomorrow. The three-time cancer survivor, who calls himself a “cancer warrior,” is running a marathon on 10 consecutive days starting in Muscatine and ending in Council Bluffs on September 7th. Saturday evening Mills will stay in Washington.

Dani Kane, assistant director of the Washington Chamber of Commerce, is encouraging people to get involved by lining the road way, putting out yard signs, or running alongside him. Those who would like to run are encouraged to sign up through the Washington YMCA.

The “Run It Forward” campaign by Mills is to raise cancer awareness and funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. For more information about Run it Forward, including maps of each day click here.
