One of the many candidates seeking the GOP’s nomination for president met with voters in Washington yesterday. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky took photos and spoke at the Washington Public Library Friday afternoon. He spoke of supporting the entire Bill of Rights and ensuring the checks and balances in Washington, D.C. He told KCII News that he is a different kind of Republican that can win in the general election.

He also explained his proposed tax reform, which is a flat 14.5% tax and reduces the tax return form to one page. Rand would also eliminate the payroll tax and have it be paid for by the business.
