Sigourney volleyball coach Chris Carter will be looking for continued improvement from her team this year.
Last year, the Savages ended the season on a high note winning four of their last five matches, ending the season with a 12-12 mark. Carter says she has seen continued improvement in her teams over the past few years and looks for that to continue this season.

The Sigourney coach says she will field one of the shorter teams in the conference this year. She will be looking for consistency this year, plus being a shorter team this year, the Savages will be relying on defense.

Sigourney opens the season on September 8th with a trip to Pekin. The Savages lost to the Panthers in their only matchup last season.
