Modine Manufacturing in Washington announced in April its upcoming closure; Iowa Workforce Development is offering services to the nearly 250 employees. Ted Harms, rapid response coordinator, explains their goal is to up-skill these employees and help them find work locally if possible. Up-skill may mean assistance with a resume or more education.

Lindsey Anderson, Trade Act coordinator, adds that under the Trade Act there are funds available for training as well as, interview costs or relocation costs. For more information about requirements click here and for the full interview listen to today’s Washington Page.
