The audit managers from the Iowa State Auditor’s office will be visiting Riverside this evening. Mayor of Riverside Bill Poch tells KCII News, the managers will present their findings from their investigation on behalf of Riverside into the city’s finances.
Late last year, the auditor’s special investigation found around $64,000 in improper disbursements between 2006 and 2012 and nearly $275,000 in questionable disbursements. In January, the city council requested a full financial audit for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
Tonight’s city council work session with the representatives from the auditor’s office will begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
