The United Presbyterian Home in Washington was in the top three of 80 teams to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association by NuStepping. A NuStep is a recumbent cross trainer, a machine that looks like a hybrid of a stair-stepper and a recumbent bike. As part of The Longest Day Alzheimer’s awareness campaign held earlier this summer people spend the 16 hours of daylight in activities. Eighty teams across the United States took part in the NuStep challenge, NuStepping from sunrise to sunset. Washington’s UP Home raised $10,047, the third highest amount in the country. In total, over $121,000 was raised.
