For Winfield-Mt. Union football coach Scott McCarty you can’t emphasize special teams play enough. The Wolves coach says nothing can change momentum in a game like a big play by your special teams.

When it comes to the return game McCarty has his top player back this year in Bryce Robison. The junior led the team last season in kickoff returns averaging over 26 yards per return, while also leading in punt returns with a 13 yard average.

The W-MU coach says his goal is to get two big plays out of his special teams each game. The Wolves open play on August 28th with a trip to Marengo to take on the Iowa Valley Tigers.
