A smoking ban in Central Park, an airport land use study, sewer back up reimbursement requests and a fall cleanup event are among the topics to be discussed at tonight’s Washington City Council special session meeting. At the council’s August 4th meeting, residents described issues with sewage backing up into basements and a request for the City to reimburse homeowners was made. City Administrator Brent Hinson shared he felt the best route for the City is to continue to invest in the entire system to fix problems for everyone. This month the council approved a contract for $444,398 for sewer separation work around the courthouse and discussed findings from a flow monitoring study done in the north part of town.
