Wapello high school will be the center of volleyball action in Southeast Iowa tonight when the Arrows host their varsity tournament. The Washington Demons and Keota Eagles will both be in attendance. The Demons enter the tournament at 0-2 on the early season after a tough weekend of tournament play. The Demons fell to Iowa Valley in straight sets 21-13 and 22-20 and were swept by Grinnell 21-11 and 21-7.

The Keota Eagles also enter play tonight in search of their first win, standing at 0-3 on the year. The Eagles opened the year on August 24th on their home floor with a three set loss to Highland and suffered a sweep at the hands of Mid-Prairie. Keota then traveled to Wilton and were swept by the Beavers in three sets 15-25, 12-25 and 9-25. On the year Keota is led by Erin Chalupa with four kills. Abby Schulte with 16 assists and Cortney Hyman with 12 digs. Other teams participating in the event include Central Lee, English Valleys, Harmony and Wilton. Action begins this afternoon at 4p.m. and continues into the evening at Wapello High School.
