Two Washington County students placed in the top four at the State 4-H shooting match near Montezuma. Members of the Bows and Bullets 4-H shooting sports club competed with 148 4-H members from 30 counties in air rifle, smallbore, archery, muzzleloader and shotgun divisions.

Brock Schaedler placed second with a score of 195 out of 200 and Zane Fisher placed fourth at 193 out of 200 in archery. Also, Schaedler placed third in smallbore .22 caliber rifle with a score of 140 out of 200. Joe Dunbar, Richard Dunbar and Hunter Mast also competed.
