In her first week against college competition, recent Sigourney graduate Jordan Carter caught the eye of the volleyball coaches in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). Carter has been recognized as the ICCAC Division I Player of the Week for her efforts during the Tigers first three matches of the season.

Carter racked up 29 total kills and also recorded 52 digs in setbacks to Kirkwood Community College, Iowa Lakes Community College, and Grinnell College on last Friday and Saturday. Carter’s best performance came during Marshalltown’s five set loss to Grinnell College, recording a personal best 19 kills, 27 digs, and four aces.

She currently ranks in the top five among ICCAC players in kills per set, digs per set, and service aces per set. Carter and the Tigers host two matches this week, beginning Tuesday with a match with Grand View College’s junior varsity squad.
