A special breakfast is being held next week at the United Presbyterian Home in appreciation of those who help keep the community safe. CEO Mike Moore explains it is a longstanding event that began about 30 years ago. He adds the firemen, police, sheriff’s department, city council, ambulance service and supervisors are invited. It becomes a social event with the residents getting a chance to visit with those who attend.

Erin Drahota, administrator, shares one resident of the campus is the former fire chief. Tom Tanner turned 90-years-old last year and every year he gets the word out to the firefighters.

Next Thursday, September 10th, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. those community members are invited to stop by for breakfast. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
