Iowa Mennonite School and the Highland Huskies met twice last weekend on the volleyball hard court at the inaugural Highland Invitational.

Saturday, each team won one of the matchups. IMS took the morning contest in three games 21-11, 19-21 and 15-9 while the championship match of the tournament went the Huskies way in three games by scores of 22-25, 25-17 and 15-11.

Iowa Mennonite School enters tonight’s rubber match with a 5-3 record on the year. Iowa Mennonite is led on the season by Jess Bender with 33 kills, Alijah Beatty with 59 assists, and Rachel Miller with 41 digs. Highland stands at 9-4 on the season. Statistically, the Huskies are led on the year by Sydney Black with 74 kills, Jenna Dresselhaus with 117 assists and Kelsey Hora with 65 digs. Action between the Huskies and IMS is set for 7:30 tonight at Hillcrest Union on the campus of Iowa Mennonite School.
