The Iowa Mennonite School volleyball team finished as runners up Saturday at the Highland Invitational.

Iowa Mennonite opened play by rolling over Louisa-Muscatine 21-12 and 21-12. In their second match of the day Iowa Mennonite took out the host Huskies in three games 21-11, 19-21 and 15-9. IMS kept that momentum with a sweep of the Columbus Wildcats 21-10 and 21-10. IMS suffered their lone loss of the day in the championship game, where they lost to the Highland Huskies in a rematch of previous play, falling in three games 22-25, 25-17 and 11-15.

For the tournament, Iowa Mennonite was led by Jess Bender with 17 kills. Alijah Beatty had 29 assists for the weekend and Natalie Graber and Rachel Miller each finished with 20 digs. IMS is now 5-3 on the year, they will next be in action Thursday when they host Highland in conference play.
