The Lone Tree Lion football team made it two wins in a row Friday night, stomping Cardinal of Eldon on the road 48-6.

The Lions put up 480 yards of offense, while holding the Comets under 100 total yards in the romp. Lone Tree was led on the night by senior Jared Hudson with 31 carries 229 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Drake Hotz scored three times to aid the Lion effort. Despite the conditions Trey Pierson had a great night throwing the football, he was five of six for 71 yards and a touchdown. With the win Lone Tree is now 3-1 on the year as they get set for a big district game next week at undefeated Winfield-Mt. Union.
