Two teammates on the Lone Tree Lions volleyball team leads the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North in digs. The Lions have dug up 412 balls through 20 sets this season, an average of 20.6 digs per game.

Lion junior Liz Dodson leads the entire Southeast Iowa Super Conference North in digs with 97, 13 more than anyone else in the league. Dodson’s teammate, senior Hailey Comer, is tied with Winfield-Mount Union’s Cassidy Lennie for second in the conference with 84 digs. Another Lion, junior Elena Sieverding, has collected 81 digs. The trio is average over four digs per game this season.

The defensive effort has been reflected in their early season record. After finishing last season with a 10-18 record, the Lions are off to a 6-3 start in 2015.

The Lions are set to host the WACO Warriors this evening. First serve is set 7:30 p.m. at Lone Tree High School.
