With the recent rain, Washington’s precipitation total for the first three weeks of September is above normal. So far this September, Washington has received 3.87 inches of rain, above the normal 2.59 inches. On Friday, severe storms rolled through the area and Washington rainfalls amounted to 2.5 inches.

The year-to-date rainfall total is also above normal, with 31.5 inches observed so far this year, compared to the normal 28.5 inches.
