It was another successful year at the Iowa State Fair for the Kalona Chamber of Commerce. For three decades, the chamber has operated a booth out of the Varied Industries Building, promoting the city and the products its residents make.
According to chamber director Renee Pickard, there were a few challenges this year, as not only was this her first time dealing with the fair, but they also had a brand new booth to set up. She says she’s thankful that everyone pulled together to overcome those and other obstacles thrown at them. She adds they came out of this year’s fair doing very well financially.
