A car accident on Highway 218 Thursday afternoon sent one person to the University of Iowa Hospital. At approximately 2:52 p.m., a car traveling in the southbound lanes of the highway rolled into the west ditch. The wreck occurred south of Crawfordsville, near 310th Street. Air Care was paged and then disregarded and one patient was transported by ambulance to the university.
Crawfordsville QRS, Crawfordsville Fire Department, Washington County Ambulance, Washington Rescue, and Washington County Sheriff’s personnel responded to the scene. No names have been released at this time. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
