The Washington High School marching band took part in the state competition at Pella over the weekend. The Demon band walked away with a Superior 1 rating, the highest possible. The title of Washington’s show this year is Dante’s Descent and follows Dante’s journeys through the underworld. Drum majors are Aylin Raymundo and Carolan Hoffman.

Other Washington County schools took part at the field competition: the Mid-Prairie marching band received a II rating and the Highland High School marching band received a II rating. Lone Tree was given a III rating.
