Iowa’s corn crop, at 96 percent mature, is eight days ahead of last year and four days ahead of the five-year average. Across Iowa 29 percent of the corn crop for grain has been harvested and the moisture content was at 19 percent. Southeast Iowa is ahead of the rest of the state with 52 percent of corn already harvested.

Corn across the state is rated at 12 percent in excellent condition, 50 percent is good and 29 percent is fair.
