Even though we are in the fall season that doesn’t mean you should ignore your lawn. Geoff Proffitt, owner of Hedge Above Lawn Care, says you should winterize your lawn, just as you would your car. His advice is to make sure your lawn is cut short to help prevent any mold or fungus growth over the winter. He says if you take care of your lawn in the fall, it will rebound more quickly and green up faster in the spring.

Proffitt says your lawn root system is busy this time of year storing energy for the winter, and the more you feed energy into the effort, the stronger you lawn will be in the spring. He says you could work on your lawn through much of November.
