The second session of free English as a Second Language courses in Washington begins soon. The Kirkwood Washington Regional Center is hosting the class and director of the Center, Tera Pickens explains it is open to anyone over the age of 16 and helps improve English reading, writing and speaking skills. The class is eight weeks long and begins October 19th. She adds students have taken part in the class have been successful and have taken the class for different reasons from wanting to read storybooks to children at bedtime to completing a high school diploma or advancing at work.
