The six candidates vying for seats on the Washington City Council spoke and answered questions at Monday evening’s candidates’ forum presented by the Washington Chamber of Commerce. Brendan DeLong is running unopposed in Ward 3. Incumbent Bob Shepherd is facing Kerry Janecek in Ward 1. And three candidates are seeking the At-Large seat, Gerald Franzen, Richard Gilmore and Millie Youngquist.

Dan Widmer, Washington County Auditor, started the evening by explaining the voting process, reminding people they can vote early in person at the auditor’s office and to call if they have any questions. He added those who live in the City of Crawfordsville will be able to cast ballots at the voting location in the town, but those who live around Crawfordsville will need to go to Brighton to vote on election day, November 3rd.

KCII had the forum live on air Monday night and you can now hear the forum online here.
