Help those who are hungry in Washington County this weekend by volunteering some time. Jim Stiles, retired pastor from the United Methodist Church in Washington, says they’re hoping to have about 170 volunteers Sunday afternoon to help package boxes of food for HACAP and assemble packages for Kids Against Hunger.
Pastor Maureen Howard from Immanuel Lutheran Church explains the HACAP food boxes will stay in the local communities. She adds the volunteer opportunity is open to anyone. The event is being held at the KC Hall in Washington Sunday starting at 3 p.m.
