Iowa Mennonite School and Keota are set to match up tonight in class 1A first round regional volleyball action.

IMS enters tonight’s contest with a 12-18 overall record. IMS finished with a 4-5 record in conference play, putting them in fifth place in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division. IMS has dropped three straight matches entering tonight’s match, but had won six of their previous seven matches. In their last action, Iowa Mennonite fell to Mediapolis in straight sets 9-25, 17-25 and 11-25. IMS was led in the match by Natalie Graber with six kills, Alijah Beatty had 11 assists and 10 digs. On the year Iowa Mennonite is led by Natalie Graber with 160 kills, good for eighth in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference. Alijah Beatty has 358 assists, good for fifth in conference play and Graber paces IMS with 172 digs.

The Keota Eagles enter tonight’s playoff match with a 2-16 overall record. The Eagles were 2-9 in the South Iowa Cedar League, putting them in 10th in league play. The Eagles have dropped six straight matches coming into the night. Last time Keota was on the floor they fell to Colfax-Mingo in straight sets 13-25, 20-25 and 22-25. The Eagles were led in that match by Cortney Hyman with four kills. Abby Schulte had 14 assists and Addison Sprouse finished with 20 digs. On the year Keota is led individually by Cortney Hyman with 73 kills, Abby Schulte finished with 214 assists, good for eighth in conference play and Addison Sprouse led the Eagles with 142 digs.

Action between Iowa Mennonite School and Keota begins tonight at 7PM at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.
