The Iowa Mennonite School volleyball team scored a Southeast Iowa Super Conference win Thursday night at Hillcrest Union over the visiting WACO Warriors.

Iowa Mennonite took the match in straight sets 29-27, 25-14 and 25-23. Iowa Mennonite trailed early in game one before tying things late at 23 and forcing extra action, winning by two.

IMS led solidly through the second set coasting to the win. Game three played out in the same fashion as game one with WACO leading most of the way including as late as 17-14 before IMS rallied to score the win and sweep. In the match IMS was led by Natalie Graber with 12 kills, Alijah Beatty had 28 assists and Jess Bender 21 digs. For WACO Cierra McArtor and Mayme Hinh each finished with a half dozen kills, while Halle Kissel posted 11 assists and nine digs. With the win IMS improves to 8-14 on the year, 2-3 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference. After the loss WACO is now 1-5 in conference play with an overall record of 6-14. Next for IMS is a road trip to Wapello on Tuesday night, WACO will host Pekin in Wayland on Tuesday for their next match.
