A Mt. Union woman escaped injury when her farm tractor was struck by a car on Wednesday. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when a car driven by 38-year-old Adam Ross of Winfield was attempting to pass a farm tractor in the 2000 grid of 170th Street near Mt. Union, when he didn’t see another tractor ahead of that tractor turning left into a driveway.

The car driven by Ross struck the second tractor. The tractor driver, 66-year-old Penelope Burns of Mt. Union escaped injury, her tractor was totaled in the crash. Ross was cited for unsafe passing in the incident.
