There will be a public meeting Tuesday (10/6) concerning proposed trail improvements in Louisa County. The trail improvements are planned for a three mile stretch in the northeast quadrant of Louisa County. The proposed trail, which is currently just in the design stage, would connect at the north end at Muscatine County and be part of the Mississippi River Trail Project.

The design work is being handled by Stanley Consultants. The meeting will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a short presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m. At Port Louisa Refuge on County Road X61 near Wapello. The public is invited to attend and provide input on the design proposal.
