Plans for a new multipurpose building at Mid-Prairie schools are moving forward. The $400,000 building is being built with a combination of public and private funding. The school received a $200,000 grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation, the Mid-Prairie schools contributed $75,000, with the remainder coming from a private committee group.

The plans for the building include use by athletic, fine arts and other students in the school district along with use by the public. The building is being constructed on the north side of the high school and is expected to be completed by mid-spring.
