A pair of Republican Presidential candidates will be visiting southeast Iowa this week. Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum will be making a stop in Keota, after students at Keota High School made the request. After visiting with students Wednesday morning, Santorum will hold a townhall meeting beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the high school gym. The townhall meeting is open to the public.

Meanwhile, another Republican candidate,Texas Senator Ted Cruz, will be holding a meet and greet at the Dutch Country Inn at 110 East Avenue in Kalona on Wednesday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Following the Kalona stop, Cruz will head to Sigourney, where he will be at Sinclair Tractor at 1407 200th Avenue beginning at 11 a.m.

Currently, according to Real Clear Politics, Cruz is polling at 6.2% nationally, 8.3% in Iowa. Santorum is polling at .6% nationally and 1% in Iowa.
