If you visit Marr Park beginning later this week, you might have to walk just a little bit further to get to your destination in some areas. Beginning Thursday work will begin to expand the paved roads in the park.

Steve Anderson, Washington County Conservation Director says work will begin to pave the road running from near shelter four to the conservation education center in the park. The work is expected to take about 30 days, depending on weather. The entire cost, a little over $85,000, will be paid with funds generated by park revenues.

Anderson says the entire park will remain open during the construction period
