The rushing attack of the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves (10-0 overall) propelled the team to their 10th win of the season Wednesday evening. The Wolves opened up against the North Linn Lynx (4-6 overall) in the first round of the Class A playoffs. The Wolves rushed for 246 yards, scoring five touchdowns in a 38-0 victory over the Lynx.

It was a night to remember for W-MU junior Bryce Robinson. He rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns. He also forced four turnovers, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries, to help the Wolves post their fourth shutout of the season.

Senior Kolt Rossiter amassed 77 yards of total offense and scored two rushing touchdowns in the victory.

The win advances the Wolves to the second round of the Class A playoffs, where they will face Lynnville-Sully Hawks (7-3 overall). Lynnville-Sully edged Pekin (7-3 overall) in the first round last night, 36-34.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Monday evening at Winfield-Mount Union High School.
