Farmers in southeast Iowa have harvested nearly all of their soybeans with 80 percent out of the fields, on par with the five-year average. Across Iowa, 83 percent of the soybean crop has been harvested, two days ahead of average. At this time last year, 58 percent of soybeans had been harvested across Iowa. Ninety-seven percent of soybeans were dropping leaves or beyond. Fieldwork last week also included fall tilling and spreading manure.
