The next step in Washington County Hospital and Clinics’ move to renegotiate bonds was approved at yesterday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. Supervisor chairman Jack Seward explained it as being another piece to the puzzle. With a vote of 4-1 the supervisors approved an urban renewl agreement with the City of Washington. By moving the WCHC bonds from revenue bonds to general obligation bonds under the county, approximately $3.8 million is expected to be saved in interest.
