The Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Division of Criminal Investigation has released more information regarding the officer-invovled shooting in Riverside that took place Thursday. Three people from St. Louis, Missouri, were arrested, including 26-year-old Tiffany R. Reed. She was charged with one count of interference with official acts and two second-degree theft warrants; she was also the driver of the suspected vehicle. Also, 30-year-old LaFonda Davis and 22-year-old Tia Reed have been charged with interference with offial acts.

Authorities attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle on I-380 and a chase ensued, going through Johnson County and ending at a gas station in Riverside. The suspects failed to comply with a trooper’s commands and used their vehicle to strike a sheriff’s deputy’s squad car. One shot was then fired by the trooper into the drivers’ side rear tire.
