After advancing through the opening round of the Class 1A Region 7 tournament, the WACO Warriors volleyball team (9-19 overall) received a stiff second round competitor in the Burlington Notre Dame Nikes Tuesday. The Warriors won a game but ultimately dropped the match in four sets (21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 21-25).

Junior Mayme Hihn led the Warriors with eight kills, three aces and 12 digs in the season finale. Junior Hallie Kissell dished out 18 assists. Senior Cierra McCartor had six kills and 11 digs in her final high school volleyball match.

The Warriors’ season ends with an overall record of 9-19.
