Washington students interested in learning more about the school’s archery program are asked to bring their parents to an informational meeting at the high school. Head Archery coach Jolleen Cerka says the meeting will be held this Wednesday evening at the high school gym, and it’s open to Washington students in 4th through 12th grade.

The first practices are coming up next month. The middle school and high school archery teams will open practice on Monday, November 9 with the middle school practicing from 7-8:30 p.m. and the high school shooting from 8-9. The elementary school team will begin practice the following day with fourth graders shooting from 6-6:45 p.m. and fifth grade shooters practicing from 6:45-7 p.m.

The Washington high school archery team has made the national shoot in Louisville, Kentucky the previous two seasons, placing among the top 80 squads in the country last year with a team score of 3277.
