The Green Acres 4-H club will finish their work at the Washington County Fairgrounds this weekend.

The club had received a grant from DuPont Pioneer Seeds and the Iowa 4-H Foundation for their community improvement project. The club is using their grant money to repaint the inside of the Old Schoolhouse/Open Class Exhibit Building on the fairgrounds.

Club members began their work 10 days ago by scraping and priming the walls and this weekend will get to painting. They will begin work Sunday at 1 p.m. and they invite other Washington County 4-H clubs and community members to help out.

The club was one of 15 across the state to receive a grant.
