One of Washington’s three municipal wells will be repaired, after a casing inspection done in September showed poor condition. The Washington City Council approved investigating options for repairs and having the well, when functional, be at 600 gallons per minute. Chad McCleary with the water department explained one of the options they’re investigating is a high-grade flexible hose, which would be cheaper than stainless steel pipe.

City Administrator Brent Hinson added there is a $37,000 insurance settlement on the old pump. Staff will bring options and cost estimates to the council for approval.
