It was another solid performance from Washington Demon (5-1 overall; 3-0 Class 3A District 5) sophomore wide receiver Javionn Willis on Friday night in Fort Madison. Willis had four catches for a team-high 73 yards and caught a pair of touchdown passes in Washington’s 54-35 triumph over the Bloodhounds.

On the season, Willis is near the top of the district in some notable receiving statistics. His 27 receptions this season are second in the district, collecting 415 yards, also second best in the district. His four touchdown catches are tied for second in the district with Fairifeld’s Jordan Reid.

Willis and the Demons will celebrate homecoming this week, hosting the Keokuk Chiefs (1-5 overall) in a district battle.
