Rain fell across the KCII-listening area Thanksgiving day. In downtown Washington, 1.3 inches of precipitation was observed. According to the National Weather Service, so far this month Washington has received about 2.7 inches of precipitation, above the normal 2.13 inches.

The heavy rainfall has caused water levels to rise in the North Skunk River near Sigourney and the English River at Kalona. Flood warnings are in effect until Sunday at both locations. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
