During last week’s Washington County Conservation Board meeting, members heard an update on the beautification of the Ainsworth to Marr Park trail. The Conservation Department is in the process of adding two benches and 10 arches to the trail. The department is offering adoption of the arches to help offset the cost. Conservation Director Steve Anderson says they already have several arches that have been adopted by service clubs as well as some that are being adopted by individuals as memorials. The cost to adopt is $1,000, that includes a bronze plaque denoting the donation.

The trail runs between Ainsworth and Marr Park and is about a mile and a quarter long. Anyone interested in adopting an arch on the trail can contact the conservation office.
