Next week the annual lighted holiday parade will be held in downtown Washington. Director of Main Street Washington, Sarah Sadrakula encourages area businesses, clubs and families to enter the parade. She shares the three rules are it has to be Christmas themed, it has to be lit and it can’t have a representation of Santa on it. Last year’s winner was a vintage pick-up truck covered in lights.

The parade will start at 6 p.m. and will go around the square, entries are asked to arrive at 5 p.m. An entry form can be found here and those who enter the parade are asked to fill it out and bring it to the corner of West Washington Street and B Avenue, so it can be announced by the KCII Big Red Radio. There are prizes for first, second and third place finishers. For photos from last year’s parade visit KCII Radio’s Facebook page (click here).
