After a short period of rising gasoline prices, the prices have begun to take a significant slide. That’s good news for drivers across the state of Iowa. The average price in the state is now at $2.15 per gallon, that is a drop of 14 cents from just a week ago. The price is down 31 cents from a month ago and a whopping 73 cents from this time last year.

In Washington the price is running $2.09 per gallon, while you can get gas in Mt. Pleasant at a couple of locations for as little as $1.85 per gallon. Gas in Olds is selling for $1.86.

Statewide the lowest price we could find is the $1.85 in Mt. Pleasant, while the state’s highest gas price is in New Vienna and Humboldt, where gas is selling for $2.79.
