Six southeast Iowa residents have been arrested following a lengthy investigation by the Winfield Police Department. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects were arrested Friday morning when deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of East Ash Street in Winfield.

Twenty-three-year-old Bowe Cook and 31-year-old Christopher Nelson, both of Winfield, are charged with manufacturing meth in the presence of minors, a class B felony. Sixty-three-year-old Timothy Wonders and 23-year-old Desiree Harris, both of Winfield and 32-year-old Damiano Lloyd of Danville are charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth, a class B felony . 18-year-old Leslie Shappel, of Mt. Union, is charged with possession of a precursor with intent to manufacture meth, a class D felony.

Meth labs, meth lab materials, drug paraphernalia and other signs of meth manufacturing were discovered in the residence. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and Winfield Police Department were assisted by the Mt. Pleasant and New London Police Departments and the High Risk-Probation and Parole Office in the incident.
